21 Weeks and It's A ...

GIRL!!!

And let me tell you, she has made an appearance ;)

What a difference seven weeks makes, right?!?

I know! I don't realize how pregnant I really look until I take these pictures. {Which I have to take approximately 87 of, by the way. Turns out I have a true Will Ferrell/Ricky Bobby I don't know what to do with my hands - type syndrome.}

I was going to post a picture of the ultrasound that showed she was a girl, but then I felt wierd about posting her lady parts on the internet, so I just wore pink for the picture instead. Please don't think I'm completely crazy. Just a little bit crazy ;)

All that space is for a baby the size of a carrot or a banana, whichever you prefer. But we're officially over half-way there, and she should hit the 1 pound mark sometime between now and Sunday. That feels monumental. And real.

You're wondering if she has a name {besides Poppyseed, of course}. So is my mom.

She almost does. No, we're not keeping it a secret until she's born. We're just very indecisive. But I come from a long line of serious monogrammers, so it won't be much longer.

I can tell you that if I could get a string of pearls on this baby in the womb, I totally would. I mean I want to teach her to be strong and independent...But I also want her to sparkle. {Inside and out ;)} A couple of days after we found out, I was in the mall getting my first pair of maternity skinny jeans {oxymoron?}, and I realized you have to walk all the way through the baby clothes to get to the maternity section. Those people at GAP are no dummies. My eyes went from ruffle to lace to sequin so fast my head was spinning. I didn't buy anything, though, because I am really sappy and I felt like Josh and I needed to make the first purchase for our daughter {nuts to even type that!} together. I'm sure I'll get over that soon. :)

I'm feeling so much more like a normal person during this part of my pregnancy, and it is a welcomed relief. I want to take advantage of this time and get as much done as possible, so I'll do my best to keep you posted on updates to our home, nursery plans, etc.

Baby changes everything, I hear.
